This 'glam camping' site sits above the serene River Brock, where you can build dams, catch sticklebacks, or explore the quiet pools shaded by overhanging trees. The surrounding woods are an adventure playground for children, ideal for building dens or camps. With direct access to local footpaths, you can explore the nearby Stone Age circle or wander through the vast Bowland Fells, all without stepping near a road.

For those seeking more adventure, local cycling routes and bridleways are within reach, or you can take an electric bike from the estate to nearby Beacon Fell Country Park or the charming village of Chipping. Alternatively, explore on horseback or enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Lancaster Canal.

What’s Included with Lantern & Larks Tents?

Each tent accommodates up to six people, with three bedrooms: one king-size room, one twin room, and one bunk bed room. Travel cots can be added to any bedroom (available for hire).

Each tent includes:
• Gas-powered shower and WC
• Log-burning stove and double gas hob
• Beds made up on arrival, plus towels
• Fully equipped kitchen area
• Sleeps up to 6 in comfort
• Tranquillity and exclusivity

Fire pits are included with every booking, ideal for BBQs. Unlimited wood is provided for the duration of your stay. Please note, fires are only permitted in the fire pits. Each tent also has a log burner for heating and cooking.

Bleasdale Estate is situated on the western edge of the Forest of Bowland AONB. Just 20 minutes south of Lancaster, the glamping site is located at the end of a private country lane, set amongst the rolling green patchwork of grazing land stitched together by hedgerows, trees and dry-stone walls, with the Bowland Fells as a perfect backdrop – a beautiful place at any time of year.

Beacon Fell Country Park

Beautiful panoramic views across Bowland and a great day out with plenty of walks, a sculpture trail and lots of year-round events.

The Inn at Whitewell

The Inn at Whitewell is an old fashioned-rural pub. Seasonal grouse from Lancashire Moor, pheasant and partridge from Dunsop shoot, Bowland beef and Lonk lamb from Burholme Farm are staples on the menu.

Browsholme Hall & Gardens

Browsholme Hall, is the very beautiful 16th-Century family home of the Parker family, open frequently throughout the year but checking the dates is advisable.

Samlesbury Hall

With almost 700 years of fascinating history in this stately home, from the battle of Bannockburn to its purchase in the 1920s, Samlesbury, together with its ghosts, provides the visitor with an amazing insight into life at Lancashire's historic home: from an ancestral home, to a school, a factory and a pub. Samlesbury Hall is open throughout the year.

Ribble Valley Sculpture Trail

The trail runs through Brungerley Park and Cross Hill Quarry, only a mile from Clitheroe town centre. It is also a lovely walk along the River Ribble. Follow points 1 to 2 of the following walk to take in the sculpture trail: download walk.

Chipping

Chipping is situated in the Ribble Valley on the edge of the Trough of Bowland. A well-kept secret, this picturesque Lancashire village has won several best-kept village competitions including the village section of the Royal Horticultural Society ‘Britain in Bloom' competition in 2009.

Dunsop Bridge

The small village of Dunsop Bridge is recognised as the village closest to the centre of the British Isles.
